Fault finding is one of the key areas which can improve the efficiency of any machine. Often the most simple checks such as blown fuses can restore a system to full functionality and the ability to trace the cause of any failure using the built in fault finding capacity within our systems and combined with an adequate spare part stock can have a dramatic effect on downtime.

Poor understanding of operating capacity can prevent perfectly viable operations being carried out. Most importantly the ability to increase system capacity by limiting operational sea state and by considering the real vessel dimensions as opposed to the theoretical minimum values used in design.
