A compact Launch & Recovery System for R.O.V's designed
to take up minimum deck space, ease and speed up mobilization and demobilization,
allow road transport on standard 40' articulated vehicles and still provide
maximum access to all equipment for operation and maintenance.
The system is for use in a Zone 1 hazardous area and in environmental conditions
up to and including sea state 6.
Winch
- 9500 kg SWL (Top Layer).
- Max. speed 30m/min. bottom layer.
- 3g design load.
- Lifting coiler to allow close mounting to A frame whilst still maintaining
good cable management.
- Direct connection to end of 'A' frame to speed up mobilization (winch need
not be welded down).
- Open end drum giving space, shelter, and easy access to rotating junction
box
- Fixed junction box mounted at open end of winch to allow easy access to
both J.B's at same time by same man. (ideal for testing).
A-Frame
- Adjustable leg lengths for various heights of vehicle and/or outreach.
- No disconnection of cylinders during erection to speed up mob/demob.
- 'A' frame is self erecting to/or from the road transport position using
main system pack and controls.
- Snubber provides motion damping for R.O.V. both from wave and
A frame motion.
Power Pack
- 75 kw energy efficient electric motor driven
- 50/60Hz operation
- Power limited swash plate pump
- Load sensed to reduce heating & power wastage
- c/w integral removeable deck pack for deck testing of R.O.V.
- includes auxiliary valves for driving existing ships equipment.

System on board Stena Seawell. Note: Winch is mounted on top
of A frame skid
due to restricted deck space. Main power pack is mounted on deck below.
