Equipment in service can only be expected to last for a certain amount of time. This can very often prove to be cheaper than buying a new item and we guarantee that the equipment will leave our premises in 'as new' condition.

The example below is typical of an offshore winch which arrived with us in very poor condition, but which we were able to restore to its former glories - with a few improvements thrown in for good measure.

		The winch arrived at our premises in need of a complete overhaul after a long period of service offshore. In addition the customer had asked us to upgrade the winch - both from a performance and safety point of view.
The first task was to completely strip down the winch. After measuring up all the structure was then sent to be blasted, while an assessment was made of the required modifications. Also, worn out parts (e.g. bearings) were sourced.
		The winch was converted from pneumatic to hydraulic drive. In addition to standard hoist and lower controls a constant tension feature was added. Control labels and instructions were engraved on a durable stainless steel cover plate
The structure was repaired as required. A protective bump frame, lifting lugs, mesh guards and a control desk (see above) were added. After load testing, function testing and a fresh paint job the winch left our workshop in an 'as new' condition.
