• Full design information can be made available for Client approval by digital transmission at any point during the creation of components or complete structures. This improves client control over projects and greatly reduces the risk of  incompatibility once finished equipment reaches site. A real cost advantage where larger, more complex projects are undertaken involving a multiplicity of suppliers.

The following example shows the steps taken in the design of a latch; part of the recovery mechanism for an offshore R.O.V. handling system. 

	STAGE ONE:  Components are designed using 3D solid modelling software. This shows the latch assembly, complete with its bronze bushes and stainless steel slider plates.
	STAGE TWO: Transfer of the model into our finite element analysis package. Here loads are applied in order to check the part for unacceptably  high stresses.  If necessary the part can be modified before being re-analyzed.
	STAGE THREE: The solid modelling software generates a 2D CAD drawing of the finalised design, to be passed to our manufacturing department. The resulting finished assembly is shown to the left.
