For over a quarter of a century, Lawson Engineers Ltd, have built an enviable reputation as designers and manufacturers of reliable, high quality mechanical handling systems. End users ranging from multi-national organisations to small businesses have benefited from the company's design skills, manufacturing capabilities and a wealth of experience gained in the areas of electronic, pneumatic and hydraulically controlled machinery.

Basic products include 'A' Frames, Winches, Goods Hoists, Elevators, Conveyors, Carousels and Cable Engines. Recent years have seen a great increase in the requirement for design and manufacture of handling systems for sub-sea equipment. Approximately 75% of Lawson Engineers activities are currently being conducted for clients in the offshore sector. A substantial total of that work is destined for the export market.

Lawson Engineers employ powerful modern design tools, including 3D solid modeling and finite element stress analysis. These are used for all in-house design activities, projects often growing from initial feasibility studies undertaken with clients. These can lead either to overseas manufacture or construction within Lawson's own facility. In the case of the latter, strict quality control is imposed at all times to ensure the highest standard of workmanship, which has in turn earned the company its proud reputation for quality and reliability which has brought success and repeat business from a loyal client base over many years.

At any point during in-house manufacturing projects, inspection and survey is welcomed from both client-based quality departments and client-elected independent agencies. The company is always willing to act with the utmost flexibility in tailoring its quality regime to suit varying client quality systems and requirements.

As well as manufacturing from designs and drawings produced in-house, Lawson Engineers will construct items to client drawings, carry out installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance and refurbishment, both of their own and other manufacturers' equipment.

Meeting the increasing demand for deep-sea oil-exploration equipment handling systems has accelerated and expanded Lawson Engineers expertise in the design and production of the following equipment;
